World AIDS day is tomorrow. They are currently showing the AIDS NAMES Project Quilt at the Columbus Health Department. There will be a special ceremony tomorrow night with a candlelight vigil and reading of names. Even if you don't go to that you should go to check out the Quilt. This day is about remembering what this tragic disease has done to so many people and to remember those lives lost. Sometimes it's about more than just us and events like this really help to drive that message home.
My life is a little crazier than normal. The good news is that I have a girlfriend. She's quite awesome and actually likes my friends. I know, I'm concerned about this too. It's been almost 3 months and I haven't had a complete commitment-phobic related freakout. I'm taking that as a good sign.
Other news: -I'm still at the plastic surgeon office. We had an incident that made me want to leave, but right now I'm thinking I need to take time to figure out what I want to do before making a rash decision. -Still rocking as Zoe. Nothing like having a man in Ireland and a man in NYC bitching if you are talking to the other person because then you can't talk to them. It's quite sad. I also read a review for a fisting porn last night and I think I screamed out loud about 6 times. Things such as "sometimes up to the elbow" and "fuck-punching that pucker" just make me want to quiver up and die! I also had the craziest man ever last night. I can't even go into it on here as it would take way too much space to fully explain his insanity.
Sad news: -My sister was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. She's only 28. It's called fibroblastic osteosarcoma, which basically means extremely rare bone cancer. Not really sure what's going on with it all. I think she'll end up doing chemo and radiation in Cleveland starting in November. Obviously due to all this I've been with my family a bit more than before. Should be an interesting end of the year.
I never update, but since my weekend exploits are now publicly aware I should defend. Pittsburgh with jmdin12 was out of control! Many of the things not mentioned are not permitted to be discussed outside the state of Pennsylvania. I did wake up Sunday with the worst hangover ever! I managed not to puke the entire drive home. Then at softball it was decided that with Dannon out of town I would play catcher. My thighs are very sore today. Squatting that many times (and trust me with the way we played I was catching a lot) really does a number. Not to mention getting completely knocked over at home plate. My right arm and right breast are sore from being run into so hard.
Other than that life is fairly good. Also, I'm probably going to end up volunteering a bit with CATF at Pride. We need hotties to stick on a dunking booth to help raise money. Anyone want to give a little bit of time and show off their hotness? I know you are vain out there.
I'm frustrated at work so I'm taking a break to recap my nice weekend.
Friday: Went to my girl doctor appointment and then went home for the rest of the day. FYI they gave me pills that potentially make me a crazy bitch! haha!!! Napped to go out to Dayton that night. Drove through some kind of tornado/flood thing and made it to the hotel to find a near drunk Eric Teague. Eventually the other homos arrived. A great night, I shall too keep details to a minimum. Highlight: Seeing Celine shove Teague out of the spotlight to dance with me. haha! Drove home at 4 am to work at 8...yes i'm crazy.
Saturday: Worked. Napped. Picked up Jeremy to be volunteer bartenders at Art For Life (charity auction for CATF). We had an awesome time and perhaps spilled some free alcohol in the cups we were drinking from. Went to Q. Nice time. Jeremy survived the 21+ experience, which was easier given the Chicago club situation. Drunk dialed Teague. Highlight: Seeing many of the plastic surgery patients at Art for Life and having everyone of them blow me off in fear I'd expose them for the fake beauty Queens they are.
Sunday: Sleep, work, showtunes, Waiting. Never piss of your wait staff.
Monday: Had a lovely lunch with Jeremy. But first made him come see my girl Dina to get his eyebrows fixed. The appointment literally took 15 minutes. But check them out next time you see them. She guarantees the ability to pick up a trick simply by having your brows done by her. No lie.
Now I must return to this shitty day. I see a glass of wine in my future. And my icon just made my day...yum
Jeremy and I made it safely home. Unfortunately we both stink like alcohol and an ashtray and got all of 45 minutes of sleep before leaving for the airport. And I have to be at a baby shower in an hour...this could be trouble. So it's time for a shower. There may be more details of the trip later since it had it's out of control moments.
Only a few days left of being 25. Mike Miller is my new best friend cause he doesn't think I look as old as I am! I had a birthday dinner with my family Friday night. Saturday I went to jmdin12's to watch Dannon run. I came home to nap and then went to be Zoe. After that I got to enjoy a very surprising power hour. All I have to say is that Celine Dion is possibly the most powerful trump card ever! It was an even better evening because I did not get sick.
Today we had softball sign ups. I'm very excited since last year I attended every game but didn't get to play. I bought my cleats and glove today. Hello lesbians...
Tuesday is the day that I officially turn 26. What should I do? I'm not Zoe that night and I don't have to work at my real job the next day.
